June Favorites!

Hello everyone! I hope your summer has been a lot less hot and terrible than mine has been. I've pretty much been dead due to the heat. Oh my goodness! We've been swimming every single day because of this blistering heat.

Anyway, I decided to make a favorites post inspired by the wonderful and lovely grav3yardgirl on YouTube. So, like grav3yardgirl, this spans over everything from blogs to food to clothes and everything. So without further ado, here is my June Favorites Post!

First off, I'll be talking about the blogs I've loved this month. There are only three blogs/vlogs I've really just been excited for all this month.

grav3yardgirl, or Bunny, is a YouTube vlogger who vlogs about everything, Fashion, paranormal, experiences, Chick-fil-a... Her blog is so addicting to watch. Her videos always span from 3-20 minutes long, and those twenty minutes never feel like enough bunny time. I really recommend her to anyone who likes to laugh, smile, and be part of a wonderful and loving Swamp Family/

Blogilates is a blog/vlog dedicated to workouts, pilates, good food habits, and just feeling good about yourself! The owner, Cassey Ho, is always energetic and fun to listen to. I love doing her workouts. She encourages people to workout if they want to. I just love her enthusiasm.

When I do Cassey's workouts, I feel better doing them than some other tape. I think it's because reading her blog, I feel a connection with her. I feel more personal. Anyway, I really love her blog, and she updates constantly! I love reading about health and fittness lately, so if that's right up your ally, I suggest reading Cassey's wonderful blog. Oh my goodness I love it. After this post, I'm actually going to try out her Bikini Blaster 7, which came out just a couple days ago. :]

Bat-ty is a new blog written and created by good friend, Kim, who I talk about often. I know what you're thinking, "Way to promote your friend, Jamie". But I honest to goodness would love her blog even if we weren't best friends. She has very well rounded posts. She writes about anything her heart desires, and I'll just tell you now, if you love my blog, you'll surely love hers.

If you love movies, lolita, fashion, and books, Kim's blog is a blog for you! Plus, she's just starting out, (here is where I promote my friend) and I really encourage you to check her blog out!

Now I will talk about my favorite fashion motifs lately. Just anything fashion, hair, and makeup.

Lately I've been trying to accomplish the "pastel goth" type of feel almost. I really am loving crosses as a motif, all the time. I put crosses on my nails a lot, seeing as how I don't have any clothes with crosses. I also love fairy kei and I've been looking for inspiration within that style umbrella. Below are some pictures :D

As for lolita, I've been totally digging hime-lolita. I think a lot of this stems from my love of history, the Rococo era, Tudor era, and all that jazz. I want to be a princess, queen, or lady, with many ladies in waiting, and when I see hime-lolita, I really feel like I could live out this fantasy with this outfit. xD but that;'s just me.

I'm actually thinking of making myself a nice beautiful rose headband, so I can achieve the elegant and beautiful rococo look.

As for makeup, I just love my usual cat-eye liner, and lately I've been adding a little bit of eyeshadow to accentuate the cat-eye look. But one thing I am TOTALLY diggin' that I don't usually dig is lipstain.
I own the Cover Girl Outlast lipstain, which I wear nearly every other day. Anyone who knows me knows my absolute loathing of lipstick, however, lipstain fixes all the problems I have with lipstick. I hate the stickyness, how it gets on your teeth, and how it wears off when you eat (because I am always eating). Lipstain is just like a marker for your lips, and I love that. All the color with none of the downfall! :D

Well, I think this is it for my favorites post. I hope it was something you guys enjoyed. Expect a Brave review within the next couple days, as well as a July wants post! I hope you guys have a wonderful week, filled with lots of popsicles, air conditioning and swimming. And if it's not warm where you are, stay bundled up!

Yours Truly, Jamie♥

OOTD 2: Brave

Today I saw the amazing movie, Brave :DD
I was very excited, so I dressed in green and gold, to match the green-ness of Scotland (and my Claddagh ring) and gold to match the logo.

I look a little bit derpy, unfortunately, this was the best one

I liked this picture.

And finally a picture of my makeup.

Thank you for reading! Expect a post about what I did today, and possibly a review on the wonderful, wonderful movie Brave! It just came out today so you guys should definitely watch it :DD

Thanks for reading! Yours Truly, Jamie♥

OOTD 1: Thrifting

Hello everyone! I hope your computer days have been better than mine. Google Chrome hates it when I edit my photos now, so everything is difficult.

Anyway, I realized I never had actually done a true outfit of the day, it was usually just many outfits. So now this will be the first REAL outfit of the day post.

A couple days ago I went to a thrift store to spend a twenty dollar gift card I had for there. It was really awesome.I found some denim shoes of mine and decided to dress up :D

Outfit Rundown:
Blouse: Hand-me-down from my mom
Shorts: Thrift Store
Socks: JC Penny's
Shoes: Hand-me-down from my mom

Necklace from my friend

Here is a close up of the shoes. This outfit was really inspired by the outfits of a youtuber I've been watchig recently named grav3yardgirl. I would suggest checking out her videos, I love her.

My nails that day.

My makeup and awkward smile

Thanks for reading guys! Later today I'll post a thrift haul post from this day too :DD

Sorry :OO

I totally spaced posting about Elitch's. But that's okay, because now that I think about it it's really not that interesting. Not to me anyhow, so we'll just keep that off my blog :D

Anyway, hello readers! Today I'll be posting about my wonderful day with my lovely friend, Kim. We were going to have a mini lolita meetup with my friend Lorie, however Lorie couldn't make it. Therefore, we hung out anyway, since Kim was in town.

Kim and I have been friends for YEARRSS. You might've seen me write about her on this blog before. We decided to head down to Barnes and Noble. Her brother, Thomas, and nephew, Kacey tagged along, which was also very fun.

Kim and I :D
Well, the first thing we did was roam the aisles of Barnes and Noble. Speaking of books, I'm nearly 3/4ths of the way through The Boleyn Inheritance by Phillipa Gregory. I love the book so far and it feels like a wonderful follow-up after The Other Boleyn Girl

After exploring the store for a while, Thomas offered to take us to Jamba Juice and I tried some Jamba Juice for the first time in... many many years xD I thought it was wonderful!

Once we left Jamba Juice, we headed to their house and played four awesome rounds of Clue! That was my first time playing the game, and I really like it. Afterwards, Kim and I headed outside to take some pictures :DD Here they are:

We then ended the day by ditching the lolita getup and jumping on my trampoline. Thanks for reading! Have a wonderful day!

Catching Up

This is kind of a random post. I didn't much know what to talk about, so I figured I'd post some of the pictures I've spaced on posting. Plus my makeup for yesterday :D

What I wore on my birthday

Sushi I made at Japanese club forever ago :D

One of my most favorite outfits ever.

Without the jacket

The funny things about the outfit above was that I planned to wear it on a certain day, and then it ended up being super rainy and cold, but I wore it anyway. i was super freezing that day, but it was very much worth it.

Elitch Gardens (which I will do a post about on Thursday)

One of the outfits I wore to school. I made the headdress. It was very casual

And finally my makeup from yesterday!

Yesterday I went to my color guard practice. I was inspired to do a rockabilly type look, but everyone ended up saying I looked like Gwen Stefani. If you see the heart on my right cheek, that is inspired from Marina and the Diamonds, who I suggest to anyone who likes music. I think she's wonderful.

Anyway, thanks for reading! I will be posting again on Thursday! :]

Crafting and DIY

Just thought I'd post about the little DIY things I've been doing lately.

So, on this cardigan I added a heart to the right side. I think it looks pretty wonderful. I sewed it by hand. :]

Next, I put a big pink bow on the back of my denim jacket. I hardly ever wear it.

Finally, see the blouse I'm wearing with the Peter Pan collar? I added the lace to it :]

Thanks for reading. I'll be posting some cards I have made too. Bye :D

National Lolita Day!

Hello everyone! Today, if you didn't already know, is National Lolita Day! (some cal it International Lolita Day, but I honestly don't know if it is International). My sister and I were going to go to the art museum but things fell out and we woke up too late and it closes at five so we decided not to. Unfortunately, I decided to get dressed up before we knew if we were going. Lucky for you, I took pictures!

This will be somewhat of an outfit post. :]

I thought I'd try out Hime Lolita for the first time. I think it turned out pretty well. I wore two shirts for the effect and an extra petticoat.  Here's the outfit rundown:

JSK: Bodyline
Blouses: Thrift Stores/Altered by me

Tights: JC Penny's... I think....
Shoes: A present :]
Earrings: Also a present
Crown: Party City

Overall I enjoyed this outfit, for the fifteen minutes I wore it xD.

Yesterday we went out to eat at a pizza place with my aunt, uncle, and cousin. He just finished first grade so we were celebrating that. I really enjoyed the outfit I wore, although not so elaborate. I mostly enjoyed the shirt.

It had a very sporty feel to it. I liked it a lot. Also, my aunt made him an awesome Spongebob cake:

It tasted awesome. I wish you guys could've eaten it as well :]
After we were done eating pizza, my mom and I headed down to Barnes and Noble. There were really cute tote bags there, unfortunately, you had to buy two items in order for it to be within my price range so I ended up getting a book instead. Since I LOVED The Other Boleyn Girl by Phillipa Gregory, I decided to try out another novel of hers called The Boleyn Inheritance

I really enjoy historical fiction, particularly about the Tudor era and reign of King Henry VIII, so I'm really excited. The guy who helped us find the historical fiction section also recommended the book Wolf Hall so I know what book I'm getting next :]

My new book... Oh look, my Hello Kitty pajama pants xD

Although I'm not into manga and anime, I was really excited when I saw this:

I was like, oh my goodness mom They re-released Sailor Moon! She didn't really understand my excitement. Sailor Moon was my favorite cartoon as a kid. I may be a Japan-freak, but I never really bonded with anime or manga. I even go to conventions, but it's more for the fashion I see. However, I've ALWAYS loved Sailor Moon. If they would've had the first book, I would've gotten it.

Anyway, I hope you all are having a wonderful National Lolita Day. I hope it's filled with wonderful tea and macaroons! In the spirit of NLD, I am probably going to go watch some cupcake Wars and drink a nice cup of peppermint tea. :] Have a great day everyone!

Yours Truly, Jamie♥
